Equipment Studio Sessions

All sessions must be booked in advance.

Simply Pilates offers a variety of classes and levels - from complete beginner to advanced.

Many people are not aware of the specific Pilates equipment that is available to challenge or modify exercises. This clearly cannot lend itself to large classes as clients need to be supervised to ensure the exercises are performed correctly.

This page lists the classes which we offer below, but if you are still unsure as to which one might be suitable, please call the studio to discuss your goals and your instructor will be able to make suggestions on how to plan your sessions.

Clients may choose from:

private classes

One-to-one tuition with an instructor. Please be aware that there may be other classes going on in the studio at the time of your class. Minimum 24 hours notice for cancellations.

semi private classes

These sessions are arranged by clients themselves (e.g. two or three friends.) This is a shared session with the same two or three clients booking either an individual session or a discounted block of 5 sessions. Booking a block of 5 classes guarantees you the same time slot and instructor each week. A minimum of 1 week's notice is required for cancellation by one of more of the clients in the session, in order for the remaining client(s) to decide if they wish to pay for a different type of shared session.

open studio classes

This is a shared session for up to 3 clients who are working independently under the close supervision of an instructor. Since the session involves some independent exercise, clients must either have proven past experience of Pilates or have undertaken a certain number of Private Sessions at the studio first. This class offers maximum flexibility as clients can attend any number of the many sessions offered per week. Minimum 24 hours notice for cancellations. Please phone the studio if you are interested in daytime Open Studio Classes as these change frequently to meet needs. We always aim to accommodate your preferred day or time.

antenatal classes

These classes are for a maximum of 3 clients. Ante Natal Classes are for complete beginners or clients with exerience though clients will not be accepted to join the class after 22 weeks of pregnancy. Classes can be taken right up to delivery and are tailored to each individual client to ensure they are exercising appropriately for their particular trimester and needs.

Experienced Ante Natal clients may attend Open Studio classes or Private classes. If the ante natal class is full, non experienced clients may attend Private Classes and join the Ante Natal class when a space becomes available. Due to the special discounted rate for these classes, they are bookable only in blocks of 5 consecutive classes, with any missed sessions being forfeited. Towards the end of pregnancy, classes may be paid for on a one-off basis.

postnatal classes

Please note that you cannot bring your baby to the class.

The Post Natal Class is aimed at new clients, as well as experienced clients returning to Pilates after having their baby.This is a gentle class, suitable for the period 6 weeks to 12 months post delivery. The class focuses on basic core muscle including abdominal/pelvic floor tone and spinal flexibility.

Experienced Post Natal clients can also attend Open Studio classes at normal Open Studio rates.x
